Diocesan Initiative — ACK Budokomi Parish, Mundika, Busia County

Project Overview & Impact
The Budokomi Community Borehole Water Project is a flagship initiative funded by the Anglican Relief and Development Fund (ARDF) with the objective of improving access to safe and clean water for the Budokomi community while creating a sustainable source of income for ACK Budokomi Parish.
Since its inception in March 2026, the project has made significant progress. Key milestones achieved include establishment of the Project Implementation Committee, community mobilization and sensitization, preparation of implementation work plans, successful procurement of the drilling contractor, completion of borehole drilling and associated technical works, and commencement of the procurement process for water storage, solarization and distribution infrastructure.
The project is currently entering its final implementation phase, after which commissioning, operationalization and establishment of a Water Management Committee will be undertaken to ensure sustainability.
