To encourage the study, practice and development of music in church worship
To guide Christians, choir members and music Directors with helpful comments by qualified adjudicators
To provide a forum where performers of music meet and interact to enhance unity

Liturgical Choirs & Sacred Music

The Music Department promotes musical excellence in Anglican worship across the diocese, preserving treasured classical Anglican hymnody while embracing vibrant contemporary African choral praise.

Workshops & Diocesan Festivals

Annual Diocesan Choir Festival: Competitive choral festival judging sacred anthems, traditional hymns, and original compositions.
Choirmasters & Organists Seminars: Training church musicians in voice training, sight-reading, and keyboard accompaniment.
